It is that time of year again to complete the TCGA Gin Cost Survey. YOUR RESPONSES ARE NEEDED ASAP! We plan to have this information published in time for the first district meeting in late May and we want to include as many gins as possible. This will make the information more representative of the Texas ginning industry. Please return the survey results as soon as possible so that we can complete the data analysis in a timely manner.
TCGA uses this data for several important issues. We compare the cost per bale and cost per kWh of all the power companies that are returned on the survey. For gas companies, we compare the cost per bale and cost per MCF. We will publish this information in the newsletter and on our web site, so that you can compare your gas and power companies, and your labor costs to industry averages. We also use this data as a reference point when dealing with electric companies in the regulatory environment, and when working on bid information from the power companies.
Please take a few minutes to fill out this form. This information is important and could be used to lower your ginning costs as we work with the utility companies. In order to be useful statistically, it is important that you return all requested information. If you have not received your final ginning season gas or electric bill, please hold the survey until you do. All individual data is kept confidential and will only be used in a summary form.
