TCEQ is sending out the notice shown below to many facilities in the state which currently have a standard permit or permit by rule registered for their facility. The reporting requirement specified in the notice is a result from the TCEQ Sunset process that occurred last legislative session. Many of these standard permits or permits by rule have an “open ended” permit status with no set expiration date. TCEQ wants these facilities to indicate on an annual basis whether these permits are still being used so they can update their state emissions reports. We are going through our files and the TCEQ Central Registry to make sure we have all of these permits listed.
