Cotton gins are required to submit the data from their 2017 OSHA 300A forms by July 1 2018. With the deadline about 30 days away, take a few minutes now to go ahead and get your data entered into their system. This is a rule that TCGA fought for several years, and under the current administration the rule was postponed several times, but ultimately the rule was allowed to go into effect. The 2016 data had to be submitted into the OSHA database by December 1, 2017. For 2018 and beyond, the rule will operate under the originally proposed schedule, and the report is due by July 1.
You may have already entered the data – the rule allows you enter the data earlier in the year, and it is probably a good idea to go ahead and enter the data as soon as you complete your OSHA 300A form. On the other hand, if you have not entered the data into the OSHA system yet, take a few minutes now to get this done.
