Eight gins were cited by the Department of Labor Wage and Hour Division in 2017.  These cases were settled this week.  There are three main items cited in these cases that every gin needs to be sure they are doing.  The first is that all migrant workers must be given a completed WH-516 form at the time of recruitment.   The second is that the last four digits of the employees Social Security Number must be the on the paystub.  The third is the Employer ID number must be on the paystub.  We will be talking about all of the items related to these cases during the District meetings this year, and as mentioned above, we will have more details in the upcoming newsletter.
